Dear Weary Mom, He Sees You

Dear Weary Mom,

I have not always enjoyed being a mother. In fact, there are some days I don't want the job. I wake up knowing the responsibilities on my shoulders and I think, It's just too much.

You see, it wasn't that long ago when I was raising my children as a single mom. I had the unbelievable burden of being both parents and went through a season of shock, disbelief, and exhaustion.

Being a mother and a father is more than anyone should bear but unfortunately, most of our society's mothers live this way.

I see you dropping your children off at daycare in the wee hours of the morning. I watch you get in your car, take in a deep breath, and venture off into your day.

Your work is stressful and you often wonder how to get everything done.

I have been there, friend. I feel your sorrow, your pain, your loneliness.

You finish your job, pick up your precious kiddos, and take them home to begin your nightly routine. Laundry, dinner, boo boo's, homework, snuggles, baths, books, and bedtime are all a part of this everyday life.

Once everyone is asleep you think to yourself, When does it end? How can life be so difficult? I feel so alone.

Weary mom: You are seen by an almighty God who loves you and knows every need before you do. He has been where I am now, where you are at this moment, and He knows where we're going.

Walk your beautifully difficult path with Him and watch how He changes your life.

"Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen"  Ephesians 3:20-21
