My present is settling our family into new routines, getting acclimated to a new town, and working toward new goals for myself.
My present is about giving control to my Father and allowing Him to work in my life. This has not always been the case and I'm learning to just. trust. Him.
Being present means looking into my children's eyes. This makes all the difference.
In my present I am understanding how to be a godly wife and serve my husband the best way possible. I don't always succeed but the effort is there and I'm a work in progress.
My present is to purposely live each day and not get caught up in the things of this world but to remember my time is a gift.
I do not want to search for my present in the future or look back and wish I could change its' past.
I am here now. Present in the life God has given me.

Love this! Being present is such a difficult thing to do sometimes but it makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brie! It is difficult to always be present but it's certainly something to strive for. Thank you for visiting!
Delete"Being present means looking into my children's eyes. This makes all the difference" -- Whoa. Put down the iPhone, Julie. I needed to read this, just that line if nothing else. And if I wasn't sure, the placard [the best place to be is together] in the photo you posted is up at my sister-in-law's house... she is someone I admire very much and try to really listen to. It's a sign! Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteThat placard is in our bedroom and it also reminds me of where my priorities need to change. So glad you enjoyed the post today, thank you for stopping by Julie!
DeleteFabulous post.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Denise!
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say thanks for linking up to Faithful Fridays. Your post today echoes so much of what other moms and wives linked up about. I think our culture strives so much to get to the next best thing and whatever lies ahead tomorrow that we forget the gifts of today. Thanks for offering your thoughts!'
Blessings,
Julie
